WELCOME to the CHOC Talk, the message forums of the CHOC Board (the Christian Homeschool Online Community Board for westside, and general, Portland, OR). These forums act as "classified ads" and message boards for Christian homeschoolers, and businesses and organizations that serve homeschoolers, to connect with each other to share specific details and information, including time-sensitive events, useful to the homeschool community. Member families meet together one day each week (currently Tuesdays from 9am to 3:30pm) to provide academic structure, accountability and fun for homeschool families with children grades K4-12. In addition, we provide high school classes through our high school Challenge program. The Challenge program directs parents through transcripts and college prep needs and involves: Saxon Math, Apologia Sciences, classic literature, report writing, exposition, research, debate, logic and rhetoric (always within the framework of history and a Biblical worldview).
