It is that time of year for pumpkin patches and apple picking. Every year our family enjoys driving to Hood River for picking apples and going to Rasmussen farms in Hood river to see the amazing things they do with their pumpkins. Every year Rasmussen Farms has some sort of theme and paints their pumpkins and gourds to match that theme. They also sell apples and various Oregon products. It is a beautiful drive to Hood River this time of year, with the trees turning colors. Sauvie Island has various farms, and the Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island has a corn maize. Go to http://www.pumpkinpatch.com for more information. We love feeding the goats, chickens, and fish while there.
