 Welcome! About Calendar Talk
Our Calendar Talk forum allows space to post announcements about events, classes, functions, promotions, and activities that are time sensitive and could be of interest to Christian homeschoolers in our area. The idea is to inform us here so we can put it on our personal calendars if we are interested. Important homeschool alerts from OCEANetwork and HSLDA will also be posted here.
Businesses are welcome to periodically post their time-sensitive specials, promotions, and events that are geared towards the homeschool community to keep our community well informed of their services. If it is an ongoing service without a specific calendar date, please post in the "Curriculum & Services Talk"
or go the the CHOC Board, click on "Contact Us" and request your business be listed on one of our archive pages such as "Local Stores and Organizations," or "Local Activities, Programs, and Classes."
If you do choose to post business information on CHOC Talk, please don't use this privilege as an excuse to deluge the board in free advertisement. Just Use common sense and the golden rule. Excessive posts will be deleted, abusive posters blocked. No spamming or trolling for email addresses is allowed!
CHOC Talk is the message forums for the CHOC Board...Christian Homeschool Online Community Board...for the Westside (and general) Portland, Oregon, area.
You can see the CHOC Board by clicking on "the CHOC board" logo at the top of this page.
To post a message, you can click on "post a new topic" at the top of this page. If you are not currently a member or logged in, you will get a "Sorry, no access" message. To become a member of our forum, please read the directions in "Further Help in How to Post on CHOC Talk."

Please keep all posts friendly, respectful, courteous, wholesome, and useful to Christian homeshoolers (no flaming).
Please adhere to wise internet usage regarding personal contact information.
Please do not cut and paste any copyrighted material (simply refer to the book or source in your post or add a link to your post).
Great ideas may be archived on the CHOC Board as an online resource for all in our homeschool community. (All posts will become the property of The CHOC Board with all rights reserved.)
The CHOC Board also reserves the right to edit, delete, revise, remove, or otherwise dispose of any posts or contents of any posts as it deems fit without the permission of the poster. Posters not adhereing to the CHOC Board rules will be removed from the Board. Please report any objectional or inaccurate posts to the administrator.
