As Ancelotti watches his improvement on a daily basis, Gourcuff could come in for Gattuso on Sunday.
Yoann Gourcuff has played his part in ensuring France qualified for the next stage of the European Under-21 championship and is now back at Milanello to prepare for the opening game of the Serie A season. He said: 'It went well so we will be attempting to get to the finals next summer.' With Gattuso suspended and Ambrosini injured, Gourcuff could make his league debut on Sunday: 'I feel ready and it might be difficult at the beginning but with the number of games I hope to get the opportunity to play. I am settling in, feel part of the group and I am learning Italian.' The youngster revealed he has had help with any language difficulties: 'Costacurta has been helping me to communicate better. It's important to be able to speak to your team-mates. Clarence Seedorf has also helped me out but unfortunately Vogel has left as I got on well with him although I get on with all the others too so it's no problem.'
