May 30 2008 - Multiple timeout errors
I honestly don't know how long this has been going on but it seems to be affecting the old com5 boards for the most part. For me, Runboard was in the "timeout error" mode from the moment I got online tonight (approx. 40 minutes ago). I can get two (maybe three) posts in before the timeout hits and then I can do one of two things:
1. Wait about 5 minutes and try again (seems to work).
2. Change the url to coms 2-4 which forces a re-direct and gets me back (just change the www to read com2 com3 or com4, leave the rest of the url alone). This seems to work, or maybe I am just getting lucky...

I was really happy to get that as well, much nicer than the "what the %$#@" that normally happens...
UPDATE: the problem (whatever it is) now affects all the old odd number coms so you have to change your url to either com2 or com4 to force a redirect if you use my "option 2" work-a-round...

I think progress is being made, its been 2 hours now without a time out on the forums side of things. Oooppss. spoke to soon, just had a internal error going to a control panel and while trying to post this update at 11:42PM CDT... finally started working at 12:20AM CDT...

I've been unable to get on almost any board. Got on mine with the com addy. Sent an email to LG just in case it was not just me. Seems all is working okay now but for the past 30 minutes or so nothing was open and when I did get in I got error messages. I had the problems on all coms. I could post only on my board without error messages.

I could "force a redirect" to any board by changing the www address to com2 up until the latest issue hit. I did my best but it is close to 1:00AM where I am so I am calling it a day... Have a good day/night whatever it is where you are and I'll be back in about 10 hours or so...

I am back (actually I have been back for about 4 hours now but just got around to posting here). No news on what was going on but things appear to be better now

Apparently, the problem didn't affect everyone on the planet. So far, I only know of it affecting people in the U.S.
Thor (in France) sent me a PM while I was still unable to access Runboard, which I couldn't check because Runboard was completely inaccessible to me, and Erika (in the UK) reported having no problems at all yesterday.

Well at a minimum we have this one documented as a 4+ hour event covering at least half of the US! James Long drove in to see me today and he said he had the same kinds of problems happening to him from Amarillo, Wichita Falls and Plano (he was trying to get in touch with me to let me know he was coming and his cell phone was out of minutes).

With reports from the west, south, and northeast of the country, I'm surprised I haven't seen more reports on this, and wonder about Canada, Mexico, Brazil, etc. Then again, I haven't checked all of Support yet.
