Poll: should board administrators (not moderators) be able to alter user post count?

Please vote.

I'm especially thinking about implementing this feature because:

1. If a user starts using a new account (name change or whatever), they might want to have their post count set to what it was on their old account

2. If someone is trying to get their post counter up by posting a lot of spam in a topic, an admin can punish them by decreasing the counter.

However, I'd like to hear from you all on this matter.

I also voted for that.

Came to think about something; Don't know if it has changed now, since it's aged since I last deleted a post, where I actually also watched the users post count.
When you delete a post, the user who wrote it's post count does not decrease. Is that a bug, or is it supposed to be like that?

I voted for both because I think that both of Thor's reasons are very sensible.

I also believe in ultimate power for Admins. emoticon

In fact, I have had not trouble whatsoever on the board I'm admin nor on the two boards I'm mod. It is a good feature though, for times when there is trouble.

Also means you can have fun by setting a mods post count to 6000 emoticon lol
I voted for increase and decrease, I may never use the feature but it's nice to have as many features as possible so if I do need to use it, I can emoticon

[edit]Oh and something that would truly be great would be that you could set spammers post counts into minus numbers so they have to get back past the minus emoticon I think his is on some other forum system, can't remember which[/edit]

I believe post count is sacred.

Why should I post 1million times for another user to simply get his set at 1million

But spammers should get banned not post count decreased!
