Submit A Layout ~ (Submissions Only)
Thor would like to add more nice predefined layouts.
He is very generously offering a reward. If your layout is selected and exported for general use your user account gets one year of premium membership. It stacks - if you get several of your layouts exported, you'll get that many years. You can also ask him (Thor) to convert a year in 50k premium pageviews for a board of your choice.
This is not a contest limited in time. At this time, he plans on letting this run for a long time, at least until there are enough good layouts available on runboard for people to choose from.
RULES:
It is important that these rules are followed for your layout to be considered.
Your layout should not contain ANY reference to a specific board or web site
Another board admin would NOT want a layout with 'Welcomes To Foos Place' on it. If necessary create a test board and redo the layout (without the references).
- It must be a generic layout, but as serious or wacky a layout as you like.
- You must be the author of the layout (no ripping, no stealing, etc.)
- You must agree to give up all rights on the layout and the art used in it
- Your layout must not use Javascript or Java or Flash.
- Your layout must not be too heavy to load on a 56k modem. I.e., if it takes a minute to load all the pictures, it's not worth it.
- Your are welcome to replace any text by images, using the custom language set feature. However, please be consistent. If you replace "ICQ" by an icon, do it as well for "MSN", "Yahoo" and "AIM". You see what I mean.
- The selected layouts will have all its art (images) copied to runboard's servers (it will NOT be hotlinked to your web host)
- Do not copy the whole default CSS to your custom CSS (ONLY put there the differences, if any) Read Here
- Avoid animated images. They get old very quick.
- The winners will also have their names on the About Us page, with an optional link of your choice (link can be accepted or denied as THOR sees fit. Links outside of Runboard are fine).
- Feel free to suggest a name for your layout. It may or may not be used.
- Feel free to use (or not) the CSS Trick 1 and 2 (mouse rollover).
This topic/forum is not to be used to advertise your board. Irrelevant links will be removed. Only genuine layouts to be submitted.
