Below is a quote I just read from the NASIOC [Subaru] website that I really like. In my view, this is especially true for the SL and SLU classes.
The most important thing to remember is to drive within your ability and to not show off. On the ice, the fastest cars are the ones that look the slowest and least spectacular while on course. The cars flying sideways in four wheel drifts spraying snow everywhere are the ones that come in last.
Can anyone out there disagree with this rational?

OK then,
Here's another "Can you believe it" item. As seen on the main page picture, one of our SL drivers is actually moving up to a Menard class car. That's right, 4SL Claude Manna is well underway in stripping out the heavy interior and all other unecessary luxury items from his 9000 turbo Saab. All work is being done under the roof of the #29A race shop. The Saab's transformation from a stock SL car to a full race Menard class car is being done under the watchful eye of non-other-than "Big D" himself. I would venture to say Claude's project is in good hands.
