Re: BIGGEST SUMMER ENDURO THIS YEAR! 8-17-07 MALTA ($1007.10 payoff)
well. one, menards drivers can not run the enduro due to the title "race car driver". d. carl will know what im talking about lol. (i can because ive only done one icerace this year). 2. your on slick clay with normal tires. may compare a little to street legal (not sure though). and 3. avoiding people who drive 11/10ths is the main thing. ive honestly never hit anyone racing in the enduros yet. ive got hit and taken out yes, but i havnt hit a sole.
i dont know, if a menards driver can get away with it sur. but i try to keep to the rules, thats why i thought it would be a good post for some sl guys. i mean why not bring up a $1007.10 dollers winings for a race? thats 1000 bucks i dont have to pay out of my pocket towards my ice car. lol.

I'm fine with it Tommy. I just thought it was kind of humorous they way you worded it.
Wait a minute.......are you saying that us SL driver's aren't real race car drivers?

Re: BIGGEST SUMMER ENDURO THIS YEAR! 8-17-07 MALTA ($1007.10 payoff)
I have seen the big enduro's at Malta...
they're not for me!!! Too rough and no rules. It is a SURVIVAL game!!
More and more tracks in the northeast are trying to get away from the "SMASHFEST" enduro's and treat this start-up division like an entry level race class to try and get drivers to get into real racing.
Brewerton and Fulton is down on car counts in their enduro classes but the class there now has Cautions, black flagging ,etc.
have fun Tom...turn that car into a Street Stock and you'll have the same car for a few years.

Re: BIGGEST SUMMER ENDURO THIS YEAR! 8-17-07 MALTA ($1007.10 payoff)
mike: haha, no its just in the speedways eyes sl drivers arnt i suppose... i dont know lol.
claude: thanks! well out of the 3 enduros ive done so far, everyone tries not to hit each other. you get the one dude (or girl) who dosnt have that experience and bang! or sometimes you get the guys drivin kinda like they had a few before the race and dont care. but ive only been hit twice and spun around once. im treating it like real racing and trying to have good track edict. i may do the street stock thing next year because if we have a good ice season ill be concidered a (race car driver) lol. I have a whole bunch of parts for my Monte as well so it hopefully will be inexpensive..

Re: BIGGEST SUMMER ENDURO THIS YEAR! 8-17-07 MALTA ($1007.10 payoff)
I thought about it more after talking to several former enduro driver's last night. It originally sounded like a little fun on a Friday night, but then the thought of being wrecked and stuck in the middle of the track [with no cautions] and being a sitting duck with a bunch of red necks coming at me [three wide and engaged in the red mist] is not very appealing. Plus add to that they are offering over $1,000 to win and you can bet that at times the stupidity meter will be pegged at full throttle.
The spectators are the real winners in this type of racing.
