It would be nice if you brought your new photos of E. Greenbush etc with you on the 27th. I am not sure I knew there was one in East G.

Danny & Catstad - I live a half mile from the E. Greenbush site. I took a few pics a couple weeks ago. I'm planning to make the trip to Saratoga on the 27th. I'll bring them if you're interested. They have just started construction on something in that field. Danny, will you be bringing the movie footage that you have?

This show at the museum sounds interesting. I understand the one held last year was a big success.

There have been 2 conferences now. The April one, last year was the first, and it went well. It was a ***** getting home for me because a.) I live on the Canadian border and b.) we had that awful storm.
The second one was in November. It seemed to have grown a bit. For anyone loving stuff from the early days of racing, it is a must.

Pine Bowl Speedway...Then and Now

Back in the 50's this great track used to look like this.....

Today some 43 years after it closed, Mother nature has filled in the outside perimeter and the once barron infield. But the asphalt track surface is actually in remarkable condition for it's age.

Don't let the heavy leaf cover fool you, the racing surface is just as wide as it always was. I'm told that if you kick those leaves back and there's asphalt all the way across.

I believe this is looking back up to what was turn 2, which lead [toward the camera]downhill to turns 3 and 4.....

The worst spot in the blacktop.....

It looks like I'll be able to make this Sunday's Saratoga Auto Museum presentation after all. See you guys there. emoticon
