Re: 2008 Glad Rag Euro-Rallycross

I checked the weekend forecast for Pocono. 60% chance of rain storms. I have a good chance to win the races. (thanks AMEC ice racing!)Maybe it will be a wet weekend and I won't miss the rally cross after all...

Tom hasn't said that we're not using the oval, so I would bring appropriate tires for it. As long as they are not studded, any tires are legal to use. emoticon

Latest word from Top Cat:

His internet is out that's why he hasn't been on these boards.

Check this thread on Sat night [or before you leave on Sunday morning]. It is supposed to rain on Saturday and Top Cat will be there working on the track all day so he will let me know if it gets too wet and if we will postpone this event and use the rain date for the following Sunday.

But otherwise everything should be a go for Sunday morning. Gates open at 9:00 am. Be at the track no later than 10:00 am. Be ready for the driver's meeting at 10:30

If you can bring a friend to help work a corner or gridding it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it is going to be a tough call with heavy rain forecast for Saturday night. It would be great not to tow up if we were going to cancel. Looks like it would have been good to get a culvert pipe put in.

Al Pashley has dropped out. He loaned his race car out and now there are parts missing or something. Why would anyone loan out a race car? You all saw what happened to Claude's car when he let Darryl use it right?

Shannon's now a maybe as he needs a radiator for his Cavalier. Some let things go until the last minute.
Well anyway, my car runs and I'll be there! emoticon

That is why I like having my Civic street legal. I take it for a spin every weekend and make sure it is ready to go. I remove the lights and swap the exhaust and tires when it is time to race.

I am still waiting to hear from Top Cat regarding making the call whether tomorrow's event is on or not. I just left a message on his cell phone.

I'll let you all know as soon as he calls.

We're ON for Sunday!

Tommy just called and confirmed we are racing tomorrow morning as planned.

Sam said that other than a short burst of rain this afternoon while Tommy was there, it hasn't rained since then. When Tommy got there this morning he found that Sam had regraded portions of the course with his bulldozer. It's looking good!

See you there emoticon
