Re: 2008 Glad Rag Euro-Rallycross Series
What we lack here is failure to comunicate.
If you want AMEC members to be involved then there needs to be a confirmation weeks in advance, not two days.
Word of mouth is not always the best.

Re: 2008 Glad Rag Euro-Rallycross Series
Tommy, I really like your enthusiasm but we definite need a more organized communication and e mail lists like we use for the winter races, and phone calls etc,.
I can't go this week nor next if someone wants to pick up the waivers they are here, I could have sent them if anyone asked, we definitely need more lead time and confirmation.
When I was setting up events we would call all the workers and racers or e mail them and get confirmations a week or more in advance for who was coming etc. The only way to get a really good crowd of AMEC guys in the summer is to push really hard and long all the time. It is a pain in the butt to do but if you are not on top of everyone all the time it will fizzel.
My personal opinion is 2 rally crosses per year would be about all the workers and racers would want to do, but if you really push it then more could be done. Definitely don't want to burn every one out. I did have fun last time and look forward to the next one but it won't be this month.
Keep that enthusiasm up and I hope everyone makes it to the AMEC meeting Monday night for the go kart races.

This is the age of the internet, if the info is not on here then many will not get it. Since Mark is not going I will not be there either.

Re: 2008 Glad Rag Euro-Rallycross Series
sorry guys. im a newbie and learning, heres what im planning now.
first off, race is cancelled for tomorrow.
a new race is running on sunday, july 27th.
i have 6 definate cars so far for this race on the 27th. ill do a sign up list like i did last time.
also, at albany saratoga speedway im setting up a tv in DC's trailer playing rallycross videos if DC and Bruce are ok with it.
ill do this the right way this time. sorry for the lack of communication, i assumed everyone was coming that came last time except mike and dave.
but bear with me here, like i said im learning how to do this with minimal help.
see you guys behind me racing gokarts on monday :-) take care and have a good weekend.

Re: 2008 Glad Rag Euro-Rallycross Series
I am looking forward to the June 27th event.
I will not be able to make the August 17th event because the Poughkeepsie sports car club will have it's first ever SOLO Rallycross in that date.
Thanks Tomcat for setting this up!

Re: 2008 Glad Rag Euro-Rallycross Series
I won't be able to make this one. I'll be down in southern, NJ at New Egypt Speedway with my Dad watching the enduro that day.
But have a good event at Glad Rag fellas!
