Being a Nokian dealer they keep me up to date on their tires. I like to test them to see how they do in real world.
The studded Hakka5 have not disappointed me at the last two Stafford National rallycross challenges, 1st in class and fastest accumulated time in my M2 Civic GSR, both were snow events.
Also won the studded tire class at the BMWCCA icerace (autocross style, not wheel to wheel) with my Integra against awd studded tired cars. The studded Hakka5 work great.
I hope the HakkaR help me for the fuel economy run, but it looks like I have a lot of work to do and a lot to learn still to get the fuel economy of the top runners.

Economy Run II overall high mpg winner [71.55 - TDI Passat] and 1st place driver in the diesel and Hybrid class, Jonathan Bartlett will [weather permitting] be bringing out his classic car this time around.

The car is modified [for performance], so don't expect really big numbers, but rest assured that Jonathan knows how to wring every last mpg out of whatever he's driving.

Read that carefully. The lowest rr of any tire THEY make. Could have a whole different meaning.
I just don't see a full tread winter tire having less rr than a well worn summer tire. It will be interesting.
I wonder how well this tire will work in the winter.
OK, I'm a skeptic of manufacturer claims.

But it, and Bruce Turk's SAAB 93, already have a smooth flat floor so no labor needed to be squandered in adding a belly pan. emoticon

That's very true. FWD is also more efficient than RWD. The best cars to have [in the Gas class] are the ones that Ben and Darin are bringing - a CRX with a lean burn VX engine swap, and the other a 1 liter, 3 cylinder Pontiac Firefly [Geo Metro].

The best I can hope for is 3rd place.

You never know Mike are they trying as hard as you are?

If we could only get you to drive in the Super modified class of ice racing we need more guys that can focus like you do!
