Re: AMEC Economy Run IV - November 1st, 2009 + Go-Karts
I composed an email to send to my old 2008 SL email list [~100 drivers] but decided not to send it because we only have four spots left. What if 20 wanted to run? That wouldn't make any sense so I'll leave it up to the SL drivers who check this message board regularly.

Keep this up and I WILL bring it out again.

Wait a minute.....I guess Claude Hutchings and little Claude hold that distinction then.
Sonett's are cool. Claude, leave the 9-3 home and bring back the yellow Sonett! You can beat Jonathan as he's got high performance mods to his V-4. Your's is stock right?

Economy Run Firsts
OK then, Bruce Turk's Saab 93B will be the first 2 stroke powered vehicle in the upcoming Economy Run IV.

Re: AMEC Economy Run IV - November 1st, 2009 + Go-Karts
I was going to run my 2004 BMW RT1150 but no motorcycles now, my best is 60 MPG. Can I run my stock unrestored 240Z? It does not get good mileage, about 20 MPG.

Re: AMEC Economy Run IV - November 1st, 2009 + Go-Karts
Yeah the sonett runs a whole lot better. We looked at it this june and we found 2 pistons with zero compression, also one with only 15 and the other with 75 pounds. There were 6 tighted valves. Hopefully we do a little better this time. Last time we only gotten 14 to the gallon. I'll guess i will take it just for Mike K. LOL. Good luck And Gods Gas to everyone.....

Of course you can Bryon. Glad to hear you're interested in joining us this time. There is no reason that you can't run your BMW RT, but with only one bike in the last two rounds, and this event being in November, it didn't make any sense to offer a class trophy for a class that has never seen more than one entry. Of course I'd much prefer to see you drive the Z-car. No one's ever brought out one of those. It would make a great addition to the Historic class. Can I add you to the list?
