New Race Registration Policy for 2009!
To all A.M.E.C. ice racers, the following is an important announcement. Please read it carefully.
A.M.E.C. has a new policy for racing at our first event of the season. That policy states that you must have sent in your membership dues and have been given a car number prior to the first event of the season. In other words, you will no longer be able to show up at registration the morning of the first event of the year, sign up to be a member, and race that day. The only people who can enter the races are those that joined or renewed their memberships before the first race day. For the second race weekend forward, normal rules apply and you can show up, join the club, and then race.
To join or renew your membership, simply print off our membership form [from our main page] here: http://www.icerace.com/pdf/AMECMembership.pdf and send it in to our club secretary Pam Subik. The address is on the form. Please fill out the form completely. If you leave half of it blank [as some of you always do] she will not process it. Print clearly and make sure your email address is included and is legible.
We hope to see all of you at our upcoming Annual Meeting and dinner being held at the Rainbow Restaraunt in Johnstown, on Saturday night January 3rd. Please call Dave Burnham to reserve your spot at (518) 875-6956. You can conveniently renew your memberships at the meeting as well.
See you there!

Attention SL and SL4 drivers!
I wanted to add one other item here. I sent this to all of the SL/SL4 racers that I have an email address for. Unfortunately, I don't have email addresses for all of them.
I am passing the torch for heading up the SL classes to Paul Hacker. Paul is your new SL coordinator and will be addressing you all via the aforementioned Street Legal Class email list in the future.
Additionally, I am pleased to announce that Ivan Hinkle [red Neon #4 SL] will be heading up a separate tech line for SL/SL4 drivers this season.
Ivan will be very strict regarding proper numbers on your cars. He will also be enforcing the "neat and clean appearance" rule, paying particular attention to the wording "The tech inspector may reject any cars with significant body damage, primer, or rust."
If you expect to be racing with us, do yourselves a favor and don't bring beater cars. Trust me when I tell you that you won't sweet talk your way in with Ivan.
