****Paul Hacker****
Hi all,
I am Paul's wife, Jean. I just felt I should send out the information that Paul was diagnosed with a very aggressive lung cancer at the beginning of Aug. He has since slipped into a coma. If you need to reach me for anything, please email me at jch9412 at aol dot com.
Thank you,
Jean

Re: ****Paul Hacker****
This was really a shock. I had dinner with Paul over Phil LePore's house before we rode together to the July meeting.
Our prayers go out to Paul and his family.

Re: ****Paul Hacker****
Follows is a post that was on Dirt track Digest.......
Just wanted to pass this on.
Our thoughts and prayers are you the Hacker Family
Just received a phone call that longtime friend Paul Hacker passed away this morning. The Hacker family has been involved with racing for over 70 years with ties from all the local speedways where his parents were active drivers, public relations ambassadors and big supporters of Lebanon Valley and Burden Lake Speedway. Paul and his brother Karl are very accomplished drivers racing on the National level of Road Race competiton, as well as local dirt track and ice racing . Are thoughts and prayers go out to the Hacker Family

Re: ****Paul Hacker****
It is with deep sorrow that we receive the news of Paul's passing. He seemed so young and vibrant..When Paul came back into Ice racing in recent years he wanted to be involved in helping others to get into the sport. it seems that just yesterday I was listening to some of his many idea's to improve our great sport of Ice racing...In the past few years,Paul took over the huge task of keeping the SL division in line, and he did a great job of it!!! He sure took a load off our plate as he developed a new way to get those SL guys lined up...Paul sure came up with some wild idea's but alway's seemed to make them work. It was Pauls idea to make the SL division "self-Scoring"....I thought "That'll never happen!!!" well geuss what....Paul did it!!! another one....who would ever geuss that you could find people to sit in the middle of a frozen lake all day long on Sunday in the middle of February....Yup...Paul Hacker did that too!!! And through an add on Craigslist!!! Where did this guy come from!!
One of Pauls bigger accomplishments through AMEC was working with Bridgestone Tires and getting the sponsorship program for AMEC...Paul always thought BIG.
Paul was a huge assett to AMEC and will be missed dearly by all of us.
Godspeed my friend,"Keep the Pedal to the Metal"and when you get to heaven, keep up the good work...I'm sure that the fastest racecar ever known will be warmed up and waiting for you, show them boys "How it's done"
