May 2nd - Brownstown Speedway
Saturday, May 2nd was exciting to say the least. After a long week of rain, there were only a couple of tracks running on Saturday night. Those being Kamp Motor Speedway and Brownstown Speedway. Well, due to proximity, Brownstown won the opportunity to have Greg be present at their events for the evening.
Greg was slated to start the pole of the 2nd heat race. Unfortunately, due to handling issues, he started falling back rather quickly. They were taking 4 onto the feature event and Greg wound up finishing 5th. OK, so he didn't make the feature through the heat race. No problem, he will start on the front row of the B-main. Two cars will transfer from each of two B-main events. Greg finished 2nd.
So now it is time for the feature. Greg is starting in the 19th starting spot. He would definately have his work cut out for him. After making some changes in the rear suspension, Greg quickly started picking off the cars in front of him. By the half way point, Greg was sitting in the top 10. Greg continued to work consistently towards the front. At the checkered flag, Greg was running 3 wide for a 7th place finish!
That was one heck of a run, Greg!
--- Jesus is the way to victory Lane!
