June 13th - 1st win on 2009!
After several attempts, Greg finally got this first win of 2009 in the #6J Farley Racing machine!
The night started off with Mother Nature threatning to send everyone home. They put us on the track for hot laps with it sprinkling and during the Super Stock hot laps, it really started coming down pretty good. Finally they asked the cars to pit and the trucks all got on the track to work it back in. It would slow down to a sprinkle then it would pick back up. Finally, the skies broke and the Sprint cars were asked to get back out on the track to iron it back in. When it rains like that, it really makes you uncertain how the track will turn out. Well, last night, the track turned out to be pretty darn good!
Greg started his heat race on row 3. Just after the half way point, Greg worked his way to the point after I pushed up the track and relinquished my lead to him. Greg went on to win the heat race and I finished 2nd.
The feature draw was straight up, so Greg started outside row 1 and I started outside row 2. Greg shot out to the lead on the start and held on to the checkered flag.
