My First Faire- May 2006

I do readings for a couple new age shops in the next town. Last year, they called me to do readings at the first Ren Faire in the town of Janesville. The faire was a bigger success than they expected and I surely hope that they have many more.

So, in my desperation to find appropriate garb in time, I turned to Angus and his friends.

I was given wonderful advice and even a lovely gift from a nice man in Texas (who tells me I'm not allowed to say he's nice).

The belt and pouch (and a cup holder, not pictured) were sent to me by the not-nice guy.

And, here I am the day I received the chemise in the mail. I ordered it online and it was "one size fits most"- I honestly expected it not to fit. But it did- with plenty of room! I ordered the vest from a different website and I already owned the skirt. I was so happy the chemise fit!

Here is the link to the album with the rest of my Faire pictures. I was only scheduled for four hours at the booth for the new-age shop, but I came early and stayed late so I could enjoy the faire itself.

I do tarot cards and palms. I also do pendulums, but I rarely do those for the public because many people are unaware of what a pendulum is.

Edited to add- I should mention- I'm also an empath. I get flashes of information when I do readings for people (and, I get these "flashes" when I'm not doing readings- but I have to force myself to ignore them). During a Tarot reading, the cards are a focusing tool. I can also feel another persons emotions and pain (physical and emotional).

That's interesting Patty, I know a bit about tarot but astrology is my 'tool'
The empath bit is interesting too, I think those of us who work with the esoteric are all to a certain extent empathic

I think everyone is empathetic in some way, but most don't notice (or pay attention). Some of us are just more "in tune" with the ability.
