You are going to need to relax and be flexible to handle a situation. You must be willing to bend and move as the situation demands it. Do not be too rigid in how you handle things. You have to be able to look at the situation, come up with a creative and positive solution and act upon it. And when you act on it- circumstances change and you must be willing to change with them. At first- playing dumb seems easier than actually using your talents to succeed. After all, nobody expects anything from the "dumb one". You are doing too much and you are thinking too much. So much so that you are getting disconnected from your feelings. The best way to integrate your emotions, intellect and actions is through play. You have been analyzing things, planning things, going through the motions of living while ignoring the basic need to let go and have some fun. Relax. Get away from it all. Taking some time to play is like taking a mini-holiday. It will refresh you. There are two ways to play- structured activities or games- such as a sport. Another way- spontaneous play! One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Have a back-up plan. Don't stick to things so dogmatically that you forget to see other options. Don't keep doing the same thing and expecting the outcome to change. Go left instead of right- it won't be the end of the world. Listen to your inner voice- it may not be obvious at first, but if you relax and open your ears, eyes, and other senses, you'll figure out delightfully ingenious ways of approaching a situation so the outcome is what you desire. Everyone thinks they're in control. Most of the time they're not. The effort to maintain control is based in fear from seeing others, seemingly in control, lose their grasp. Seeing someone out of control is scary, and sometimes dangerous. Rest assured that you are not in danger by letting go of control. Giving up control is not the same as "giving up". Giving up means throwing your hands into the air in an admission of defeat. Surrendering control means releasing efforts to force an agenda into your life that isn't natural. You must learn to say no, and to mean it. To become your true self, the self you need to be, you must learn to say no and you must learn the right time to say yes. You must define who you ARE and who you are NOT. Setting boundaries shows where one part ends and another begins and your choices become clearer- easier to see. This doesn't mean you always have to say "no", but it helps you to see that you CAN say it, without fear or guilt. You may feel that it is easier to give into someone else's demands.
