"Here... this is a comedy forum... the cookery forum's next door"

Yep - I know that, but for anyone who has ever seen these two - it's pure comedy... just happens that they cook as well!

Every one of their progs. is guaranteed to raise a laugh - they ham it up... take the mick... sing and generally arse around whilst cooking and REALLY appear to be having a good time!

Clarissa and Jennifer come out with some belting lines... such as how to start a fire when camping:

"Rub two boy scouts together" quips Jennifer.

And Clarissa referring to a hand-held blender as the "Kitchen Vibrator".

Plus they werere alway singing something mad or reciting obscure poetry such as Jennifer saying:

"And there stood brave Sir Percy
In somewhat dreadful dumps
And though his legs were smitten orff,
He fought upon his stumps"

If it could be battered, fried, buttered, peeled or generally etten, they'd have a go - accompanied by double cream!

A sad loss the day Jennifer Patterson died - comedy cookery could've gone somewhere... unlike all that cr*p with Ainsley and these other pale imitations!

Here's to Clarissa and Jennifer!

Re: …

I used to enjoy watching them as well. You get the odd re-run on Sky now and then, just not often enough for me to catch the whole series.

On a similar note emoticon Have you seen the hairy bikers, some of the stuff they come out with is quite funny.

Ah... they're just the two fat ladies in 'male drag' emoticon

Get the DVD Dave... it's about £14 on 'Play' - all four series and an excellent documentary/tribute to Jennifer!

Well worth it!
