*Happy* - Avoided a 'Pizza Blowout'.

Well... firstly -

*Skrike* - been after a 'weightwatchers' pizza - can't find the b*ggers anywhere!

Secondly -
*Skrike* wanted to do the usual 'greedy pig' session (more in a moment on that) and was 'flaming well starving hungry'.

But *Happy* because of the following...

Okay... I'll admit it - pizza IS my downfall - here's what we get between us (my wife and I) when I do a 'binge' -

12" Cheese & Onion pizza with jalapeno and pineapple (mine)
9" veggie pizza (my wife)
12" Garlic Bread with cheese, onion and mushroom (between us, but I usually eat more than half)
Free 9" Garlic Bread with cheese (which may or may not get eaten)
2 Litres of Coke (which I have to admit, I drink more than half of!)

Greedy Pig Shock Horror I know - but that's been a 'celebration', a 'treat' and an 'excuse' for loads of things... and yesterday I very nearly succumbed...

So how did I avert?

Here's what I did - took a weigh****chers 'points' calculator to Tesco and worked out the points for a wee cheese and tomato pizza - okay... so it was only a wee bit bigger than one slice of my favourite 'treat' food - but it was only five points.
So I had that with some beansprouts and grilled mushrooms... my wife had the pizza with a few chips (again 'pointed up').

In all honesty NO - it was NOT the same... and NOT as enjoyable... let's tell the truth here, but it DID 'fill a gap' and stemmed the craving - I DID enjoy it, but not as much as 'the usual'.

But I have to say - I was pleased at having the willpower AND I didn't need to cringe the day after wondering what I'd put on in weight.

Thought I'd share that.

P.S. *Happy* - Price difference good too - total cost fro two of us, less than a couple of quid as opposed to £15+

P.P.S. By the way - I've lost about 18lbs in weight so far through healthy eating and going to the gym every other day! emoticon

By the way - if ye can't read the word 'w-e-i-g-h-t-w-a-t-c-h-e-r-s' in the above post, it's due to an oversensitive 'profanity filter' on here - thinks I'm trying to swear... think about it! emoticon not by doing though!

Well done mate - no it's not the same as the full blowout, but honestly when you add the points up it's horrendous when you think of what the normal blow-out would have come to! Alternatives can work and at least you don't feel like you have to deprive yourself of something you really enjoy.

I still do the 'day off' thing which I reckon does no harm... it's just when that changes to DAYS off instead... using the full weekend as an excuse etc.

One day per week or fortnight whichever and 'pig out' I reckon - it gives ye something to look forward to also!
