Re: Posting photos

Jalal

I've got my trip report for this afternoon's drive all ready to go, but the pics come out as big ones not thumbnails. I've been using the upload facility beside the posting box.

I started off by clicking on and copying the IMG (below the picture display on the right and under the album page numbers).

Then I went and found your instructions above, and started to re-do them, but they still come out as big pics.

I've checked out their faq and resized one for testing purposes but it still shows in the preview as full size.

Most of the pics are between 75 and 99kb.

Why am I not getting thumbnails in the preview?

cheers emoticon

Re: Posting photos

Hi Julie,

Have you followed steps 4 and 5 of the guide I posted in the previous page to have all codes removed, except the "thumbnail code"?

Secondly, to get the thumbnail code you need to click on "zoom" under each photo you upload to get the thumbnail code for it from the bottom right corner of the page.

Re: Posting photos

Julie,

Please use the test section of the forum for this.

The code you need to see should say IMG Thumb - Forums & Bulletin Boards

You need to change your PhotoBucket account settings as I explained in steps 4 and 5 on the previous page of this thread. The code your images are currently generating, is the full size image code, not thumbnails.

Re: Posting photos

Does this also apply to avatars? I have noticed at least one avatar when viewed "full size" that the rego plate has not been blanked out.

Yes Rich, rego plates can not be displayed in avatars as well. Please let me or the member in question know about the rego plates.

Jalal
When I open a photo to view I keep getting a 'yield manager' pop up window.
It seems to be happening all the time now where as before it was only once in a while.
Is this a normal thing or is it the same as was happening with Image shack?

Re: Posting photos

Am not getting any pop-ups while viewing photos from PhotoBucket.

You may a problem with a spyware software that found its way to your computer and may need to do a scan to locate it.

Re: Posting photos

Dear Members,

I am getting a bit tired to keep reminding members to use the Thumbnail Code when posting images on our forum instead of the full size image and this causing serious layout problems to our forum where the page is getting stretched and is causing sideways scroll, so I have now enforced an image width limitation which is currently set at 400 pixels. This limitation will apply to all images posted in your replies.

If you keep posting full size images instead of using the thumbnail code, am afraid all of your images will be shrunk to only display at the set of width I mentioned above and there will be no easy way to view the full size image unless you copy th link of it to a new browser window in Internet Explorer or right-click on the image and select "view image" in FireFox.

Please refer to the previous pages of the photo posting guide and learn how to post clickable thumbnails which can be clicked on to view the full size image.
