Re: Your Post Signatures

If we stick to the above mentioned size limitation suggested by Noel, then I doubt that it'll get out of hand, however if we start seeing half page photos being included in the signature, we may have to review our approach to this and cancel it all together if needed.

The last thing we (the admin team) want to do is to start PMing members and bother them about signature.

We can not control this field of your post or your settings, so please ensure that the max. allowable size is followed so we can have a nice looking and unified forum.

Also, please note that the purpose of the signature is not to replace your member area profile, so there is no need for any member to be copying their profile pics and displaying them in their signature.

Your photos will be seen on the Main Page in your profile and if you don't have one, we can create a profile for you if you send us pics emoticon

Please remember that the more pics we have in our signatures, the slower the forum will be to load for those members and visitors using dial-up and am sure none of us would want that to happen.

Thanks for everyone's support.

Re: Your Post Signatures

Notice to ALL Members

Please ensure that your avatar pics are no larger than 60KB in size. Large pics will slow down the loading time of our forum and this will mainly impact those of you using dial-up, as the forum page will take much longer to download if there are large pics in your avatars.

Please ensure this size limit is followed and resize any large avatar pics that you currently have.

I will be checking this from time to time and will click on your avatar to view its size, if found to be larger than the allowed size limit, I will be forced to set-up a rule which will force this limitation on all members and I don't wanna do that as it will impact on the resolution of your pics.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Your Post Signatures

Hi Guys,

I have implemented a new forum code where it will force all over-sized signature pics to conform with the max allowable size of 640 pixels in width.

This was done to avoid excessive forum page scrolling due to large signature pics.

If your signature is larger than the above limit, it'll either get chopped or you'll see it in a scrolling window, if however your signature pic is smaller, it won't be impacted at all.
