Re: Members Ranking
Thanks for the offer. really appreciated and will keep that in mind for sure.
Paying Runboard members only get extra features as users (example: more PM inbox limit and things like that) it does not include forum features.
If you have time, have a look HERE at what is being requested by board owners from Runboard in terms of added forum features and functionality.
I spend there quite a considerable amount of time picking-up new things as they become available.
Some features considered really good and Runboard staff implement them on the fly, others are being shelved for future releases.

These forums are great, it's only a pity it doesn't have the same features as phpbb. One feature that would be good would be "Show me posts since last visit".
Hi riscy,
Even with the limited features that Runboard have to offer, this is a feature that Runboard actually has.
Check out this link for more info:
Marking Forum As Read - A very handy feature!!!

Re: Members Ranking
hey sorry sticking my nose all around as soon as i start posting.
but again as I said I have read a lot of posts around the forum in a very compact time...
I think you should also offer an honorary stars or rank.
In the end this is all about contribution...Some to it bit by bit some do it on torrents...
just an example that i can remember from top of my head
"choppa"
has only few posts but very detailed and lots of information. some of info is not even post by him but the a proxy (i guess basshead)
i am sure this is open to abuse but the same administrators seems to be around for quite some time and they know whet they are doing.
just a thought...

Re: Members Ranking
Thanks for the suggestion nippit.
We value each and everyone's contribution equally and the rank is not only given for posting 1000 "Hellos" on the forum, rather it is a direct recognition for being an active member of a community (our forum in this case)
The value of the information posted by all members of the forum is well recognized, be it through one post or 1000, the rank is a reflection of being actively involved however and this means following-up on the information you decided to share with members of this community by being part of it.

Re: Members Ranking
Jalal
What about a ranking for non contributing people who read all the forums to gain an understanding of our xtrails, I for one enjoy reading all the forums for advice and enjoyment gleaned from a "dam" good forum

Re: Members Ranking
LOL Bob,
For you guys, readers of the forum, your rank will be measured by how much of that reading you put into practice and your signature will outweigh any rank I'll give you as a "reader" cause it shows true interest in our forum and the information we post here LOL
Thanks for your support mate

Re: Members Ranking
Hi guys,
When I joined this forum, I did not know a ranking system existed. I didn't know that if I posted a 1000 times I'd get a heap of blue or red stars below my name. I wasn't informed that if I posted so many times that everyone would eventually think of me as a veteran or a legend.
(I've always known I was a legend, hehehehe)
What I joined for was to be part of a group of like minded individual who, like me, came together in a little community to discuss all things related to the fantastic car I drive. I was hoping to communicate with people mainly to see if there was anyone who knew anywhere I could take the exy off road.
What I have got from joining this forum was advice and help that you would normally have to pay thousands of dollars for from a mechanic. Of course, I have then spent that money on mods that make my car not only look a little unique, run a little better but also gives me the peace of mind knowing that I am driving myself and my family around safely whilst having some fun.
I have also met a lot of really, really great people on the trips that I have been a part of, and I hope in the future to meet lots and lots more. Not only that, I had a fellow forum member from Sydney, come over to my place whilst on holiday in Brisbane to help me fit a mod to my car. How awesome was that, I've had trouble in the past getting someone to help me push my car off to the side of the road when I broke down (not the Exy).
In my posts, I have received help from people I don't even know, people from overseas that most likely I will never ever meet in my life - 'How Cool Is That?' I can only hope that the little snippets of info that I have given to others has helped them as much as others have helped me.
Sorry to babble on and excuse me while I wipe a tear from my eye, but to me, this experience is worth more, much, much more than stars on a page, or any ranking system that anyone could ever come up with.
Time and time again I have thanked the administrators of this site because they do a fantastic job and deserve every thanks they get, but equally important are the forum members.
Whether you post once or a thousand times, you are all LEGENDS, just like me!
