posticon Our very own Forum Screensaver

Hi Guys,

Well, I have listened to the many requests I have received from local and international readers of our forum and finally found the time to put in place what they have been asking me to create.

The Australian X-Trail Forum Screensaver is now ready to be used emoticon

I will call this edition of the screensaver, the Aussie Off-Road Adventure emoticon

It can be downloaded from HERE

Please note that the file size is 8.03MB and it is a .zip file which you need to save to your desktop and extract the .exe application from it and then run it on your PC

The screensaver program will then do the rest and configure itself to work on your computer.

I would be very much interested in hearing your feedback before I publish this screensaver on the Main Site.

The next version of the screensaver will require your direct input, as it will display the personal pics of members rides, so I will soon create a thread where you can submit your favorite pic to be included in the new screensaver emoticon

Have fun and I hope you like it.

Re: Our very own Forum Screensaver

I get an error message when I try to open the zip file...

"File skipped - Unknown compression method".

And Yes, it's when I try to uncompress it on the PC emoticon

Rich,

Am not sure what sort of PC you're using, but it certainly the one that gets all the errors LOL emoticon

Time to upgrade mate emoticon

Do you have WinZip installed on your PC? If not, you can download it for free from HERE

Jalal
I have a 56k dial up internet & to download 12.1mb would take a couple of hours, do you have any thoughts on making a cd available, for a price of course, to us members that have slow downloads. I personly would like to have an Exy screensaver emoticon

Re: Our very own Forum Screensaver

Hi Bob,

I feel for you guys (on dial-up) and at this stage am testing the screensaver and enhancing it a little.

Once it's all finalized and the second version of it is produced (the members rides one), I will create a CD and it will be available to members of course.

Re: Our very own Forum Screensaver

Bob,
If Jalal is OK with it, I can post a cd to you tomorrow with the 1st release screen-saver on it.
Don't worry about anything for it. CD's are cheaper than chips these days and so is postage.
All you will have to do is buy me a drink if we meetup down your way sometime. emoticon

Re: Our very own Forum Screensaver

Am fine with that Kev of course, but why rush it when Bob can get the CD full of upto date goodies on it?

Up to you guys. The screensaver is there for you to download an enjoy. It is only copyright against any sort of modification of content.

P.S. Did you like the screensaver, I didn't hear your feedback on it? emoticon
