Thank you, everyone, for answering my question.

I think I'll take a long test drive in the automatic.

Don't forget the overdrive button - it makes a noticeable difference to engine revs.

I assume the manual doesn't have overdrive, but it might have 5th gear. Can anyone with a manual transmission confirm this?

That price is amazing!

Has anyone else had a similar deal?

A discount of almost 20% for a brand-new car that isn't in run-out seems very high.

Yes, it is a VERY good price indeed.

Have a read of THIS thread too for more price indications.

Re: RPM at 100km/h?

Just took the exee for a run to gauge the rpm at certain speeds, seeing if the mods have done anything. (Manual)

 60kph in 4th gear @ 2000rpm
 80kph in 4th gear @ 2,200rpm
 100kph in 5th gear @ 2,400rpm
 110kph in 5th gear @ 2,800rpm
 *175kph in 5th gear @ 3,500rpm

I don't know how these stand up against a stock standard manual exee. If you have one, please post your figures.

 * = projected figures prior to loosing my licence.

Hi,
Just thought I would add to this, we recently bought our Man Xtrail ST, we had a 323 1800cc, we find the exy is nearly as good on fuel, and super quiet round town, (Country)great to drive also,I tow a Chalet Aline off road camper with it as well.
        Cheers Kev.

Re: RPM at 100km/h?

My 2005 Ti manual shows just over 2500RPM @100KPH and about 3000RPM @120KPH

Cheers,
Craig
