To those lucky guys with the HiTech system, did this lower or raise your rpms, when travelling at 100kph or faster.

I honestly haven't noticed any change, not that I'm paying particular attention to it either...

The Autos in theory with lower RPMs should get better fuel economy. That is also dependent on driving styles...

Re: RPM at 100km/h?

Brett,

As you have experienced first hand when I took you for a spin with the very first headers modification at Bathurst in my auto, the exhaust system upgrade will allow your engine to rev much higher and more freely.

I have never managed to get a last gear change when I reach 110kms/hour with the stock exhaust system and I have never managed to reach the rev limiter of 6,700RPM either.

This in turn will and should have positive impact on the fuel economy be it Manual or Auto, but the devil in each one of us who seek power would not make these fuel economy figures show themselves clearly as none of us can drive the exy normally after these upgrades emoticon

The temptation is far too great to explore the limits (within the law of the street) emoticon

I haven't noticed a difference in the revs on the highway either... still around 2500 @ 100km/h.

Just like to let you all know that mine is a 2002 auto Ti, driving on flat level ground with cruise control on revs sit at what i would say 2450rpm. But that was only after about 3-4 mins driving, and air temp was at 21c degrees
