Re: battery replacement

After nearly 3 years, mine is about to die also, with it a bit hard to start in the mornings. So far my enquiries are leaning towards the Optima Red dry cell 0005/4, or the Yuasa Overlander 600. I have used the Yuasa for years in my other fourbies, but the Optima is being used alot these days. They have one of the highest CCA (cold cranking amps) on the market, per size.

Try this LINK for all your battery questions.

Re: battery replacement

With winter setting in and my current battery being 3 years old, I have chosen to replace it with a Century Ultra Hi Performance model.
Price $130 from Autobarn, part number 68. Excellent value for money, with high specs and a nationwide 3 year warranty.

CENTURY 68

That's why I have the battery power level monitor and so far it is showing 14.6v on every start-up in the morning emoticon It also has a low battery warning signal which I usually get when I turn on 6 spotties and all my headlights (in the driveway that is) LOL

Re: battery replacement

There is generally no warning when a battery will drop a cell and the consequences are generally immediate, emoticon

I think it's a good idea to know exactly what battery you want to be buying when this occurs.

Re: battery replacement

Yeah well that's what the RACQ told us when my mothers Honda Legend died in our driveway a couple of weeks ago.

They had little choice but to buy an RACQ battery.

Re: battery replacement

And I don't mind buying an NRMA battery as well, a battery is a battery, it has a end life, so to me personally it doesn't matter which brand it is as long as it is the same strength as the nissan one.

I had an NRMA battery in my Camry and it lasted for over 3 years as well.
