Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Extractors/Headers & Full Exhaust System
Hi Guys,
I thought I should mention that the extractors and Cat. Converter are compatible with ANY QR25DE engine.
This includes the overseas X-Trail versions which have TWO O2 Sensors.
Hi-Tech will make and locate the second O2 sensor position for overseas models which have two Oxygen Sensors as per this photo (at no extra charge), so all that needs doing is extending the wires of the factory 2nd O2 Sensor to the new position and this would ensure that you don't get the engine check light.

Hi Guys,
Due to the excessive speed and power of the exy with this extractors upgrade, it has become necessary to follow some safety regulations and warn other drivers on the road
The following sign will be mailed to every member driving around with this "power pack" LOL
Please ensure you locate this sign in a highly visible position on your exy following the upgrade.

jalal had to purchase some plastic to cover the key board as I keep drooling as I read this post.Still have a two year warranty so this upgrade will have to wait but should be well tested by then.

hehehe
Why worry about the warranty when you can enjoy it now?
That's TWO years of missing-out on the fun!
Plus you'll be replacing the factory cat. converter where all the trouble is coming from and for which we already had a good scare with the recall
I would have upgraded my extractors and cat. even before my warranty had expired (had they been available then)

Even though I would love this MOD and even if I had spare cash to put towards it, I would wait until my warranty expired.
It's just one of those things where you have bought a brand new car & one of the selling points you considered was the warranty that was supplied with it. Let's face it we all have had or heard our fair share of dealerships giving owners grief and I would personally safeguard my warranty as best as I could.
That's just my personal opinion. Two years ago I would've tried to put a Skyline engine in the Exy... but now being conservative I'd just rather wait and miss out on the fun for the time being. Unfortunate maybe but definitely with a peace of mind.

OK Vik,
I'll lock this thread for access and allow it only for those who had their warranty expired, so you don't suffer more than you are now. hehehe
I was never happier to be out of warranty like I'm now. hahaha
BTW: All official Nissan recall services would still be conducted on my exy as per normal, but I guess they will have to look hard to find the factory extractors, cat. and muffler, because they wont be there anymore if they do a recall on them. hehehe
Sorry guys, just kidding

They will have to look hard to firstly realise that there is an X-Trail somewhere in between all the chrome! hehe!

Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Extractors/Headers & Full Exhaust System *HOT TOPIC*
Still well and truly in warranty with my exy... And like a few of the others I won't be going the whole hog with this mod (as much as I would like to - and I have seen and experienced the difference). Will just be going from the cat back for now - although will be enquiring with nissan as to whether or the extractor would void warranty. If they have a problem with replacing the muffler I could come up with something along the lines of - I had to replace it as it got damaged whilst testing the off road abilities like the brouchere explains. So I went for a muffler that is not quite a low to the ground when installed hehe

Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Extractors/Headers & Full Exhaust System *HOT TOPIC*
The cat-back system will have no impacts on warranty whatsoever, I had mine done while under warranty and had the exy serviced twice with them on, the only comment I got from the dealer was "They look and sound great!"
With extractors however, am not sure, so you guys need to do your homework with this one. I would have done it regardless as I stated before.

Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Extractors/Headers & Full Exhaust System *HOT TOPIC*
Hi Guys,
Just came back from a visit to the insurance company and BOTH the extractors and the cat. converter have been added to my policy without any problems.
You need to clearly state that both the extractors and cat. are EPA and ADR compliant (which they are) and the insurance will add them in for you.
The overall value of the exy has also been increased as a result
