Sorry mate, I didn't mean to tease you like that, but at least I didn't take you for a test drive in my exy, then you would have probably asked to go and have it fitted at Hi-Tech on the spot LOL emoticon

The system can be fitted at Hi-Tech in Darlinghurst and takes a full day to fit.

You can't do the full system yet cause it will void your warranty but you can start with the cat. back for now and then complete the set-up when your warranty runs out.

Jalal,

Following from your comment in the LPG Autogas thread about possible effects to the High Flow Cat in the Hi-Tech exhaust mod, could you contact Hi-Tech and ask what, if any, effect LPG might have on their exhaust system please.

Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Extractors/Headers & Full Exhaust System

Kev,

Spoke to Hi-Tech this morning and asked about the impacts of using LPG with the Hi-Tech system and was advised that there will be no noticeable impact whatsoever and the high flow cat. converter is capable of handling LPG emission.

The only differecne would be a slight drop in power at higher RPM ranges due to LPG being a less Octane rating than Petrol, but that is to be expected even with a stock exy running with LPG.

So, if anyone wants to have the full Hi-tech system as well as LPG, it won't be a problems at all.

This will be the standard tail pipe configuration for all xtrails, as it has been noted that the spread tail-pipe config. offers the best sound level which is both deep and quiet.

The "twins" system also uses 2 stainless steel resonators (as seen in Part I of my report) this ensures that the dBA level remains within the ADR regulations and doesn't annoy you (or your wife) when traveling on the freeway.

Hey Jalal

I noticed in another thread "T31 Exhaust Upgrade" that the pipe config is singular only. Is there any reason that you know of why it would be this way and not a twin system like for the T30?

I think the twn pipe system looks awesome and it gives the rear of the exy some symetry.

Steve,

The T31 system shown in the other thread is not the Hi-Tech one. I am waiting for a T31 volunteer to design a Hi-Tech T31 exhaust system which will be exactly like the T30 WITH TWINS!

You know that I would love to volunteer our exy for the experiment/exercise, but of course I would presume that "one" needs to be located in Sydney emoticon .

I cannot understand why some motor vehicle manufacturers produced exhaust systems for (specifically) V8's and only used the singular pipe. As I said before - the twins look awesome and give a "finished" look to the tail end emoticon .

I will continue to scan the pages to see when one does get developed and will add my name to the list of conversions emoticon .

Thanks for your reply.

It's probably more "being in Sydney" for a day rather than being located here. It's only 10hrs down the road emoticon

Noel came all the way from Cairns to have his exhaust system fitted and it was well worth the effort emoticon

Well, there you have it.

I'm obviously not as serious an accessories addict as I'd like to be (yet emoticon ).

Struth, Noel! Cairns to Sydney is a bloody long way to go. Impressive emoticon .

Don't write me off, Jalal. I may just rock on down yet emoticon and suprise you mate.
