Jalal
In an earlier post you said that a cat back system doesn't affect the warranty.
Which cat are you refering too, the one under the headers or the one under the driver/passenger?

edit spelling

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Under the car Tony, as it is the case with the T30 models (from 2006 and up), the cat. back system goes from the second cat. under the car all the way back. Removing the second cat is illegal.

The cat. back system doesn't affect the warranty at all.

You can still order it Tony and then just either fit it yourself or have a local exhaust fitter do it for you.

Order what Kev? The system for the T31 hasn't been designed yet.

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

got involved with a little discussion with some sentra guys, they were surprisingly interested in our x-trails...

anyway my question:

how much different are the QR25's exhaust set-up in the T31 as opposed to the T30?
specifically the extractors...

Thanks to who ever knows haha

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Hi Guys,

The offer by Hi-Tech and myself to have a new exhaust system with twin mufflers and headers designed for a T31 has been taken-up by a member of our forum and we will be performing the design of a brand new T31 exhaust system sometime in August at Bathurst.

The T31 in question is diesel, so the first step will be to have the stock diesel dynoed so we can compared the gains before and after.

Please stay tuned for updates regarding this new system and the associated performance gains emoticon

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

So Jalal, wouldn't that mean the offer is still open for a petrol T31 as the two systems would be different because of the turbo in the diesel ?

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Not really Kev, as most T31 owners are still under manufacturer's warranty, I don't think any of them would be changing their extractors set-up at this stage and risk voiding the warranty, so we will concentrate on the cat. back system at this stage which will be shared between petrol and diesel T31s and look at the extractors set-up later.

We will look at designing the extractors for the T31 diesel while we're at it and if we have enough time to do so.

Having said that, there may be a need to try the new cat. back system on a petrol T31 just to make sure everything fits the way it should and I will update this thread when and if this will be required.
