Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Man I'd even consider buying a new T31 just for the exhaust freebie emoticon .. C'mon T31 Petrol owners out there get your act together and jump at Jalal's offer !! Think of all the praise and thanks you'll receive from other T31 owners out there thinking about the upgrade option.

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

If I had a T31 (which would have been a petrol one I guess), I would have jumped at this opportunity for sure, knowing too well the results it would give, the awesome feeling of having the added power (which comes in very handy for towing) and not to mention the unique look of the car that will make it different to any other T31 exy on the road. emoticon

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Jalal,

Well you talked me into it, (Subject to it not costing me the earth, LOL). I have a 2009 ST, I live in Sydney and am about to start 5 weeks leave. If you still need someone to provide the car send me an email and we'll see if we can get the ball rolling.

Cheers,

Lachlan

Re: T31 Exhaust upgrade

Hi Guys,

Lachlan came around and we went up to Hi-Tech to have a look at the petrol T31 set-up. It was confirmed that minor modifications of the already designed T31 diesel cat. back system will be required as the rest of the set-up at the back will be pretty much the same.

Hi-Tech will also design the full exhaust system for the T31 petrol which includes the extractors and TWO high flow stainless steel cat. converters to comply with EURO4 emission regulations. All new set-ups for the newer cars MUST have 2 cat. converters now and the ECU of the newer car as confirmed by Lambros (Hi-Tech) doesn't like the absence of one of the cat. converters and registers a fault straight away, as it was the case with one of the newer WRXs we have seen there today.

We also discovered that even though the T31 petrol is still using the QR25DE engine like the T30, but the flange set-up of the manifold is completely different shape and size, so am gonna pick-up a gasket from Nissan on Monday and Hi-Tech will design a new flange for the T31 extractors which we will take with us to Bathurst.

Lachlan's T31 Petrol CVT exy will be dynoed on Monday to give us the factory readings which will be used later on to measure the gains.

We will head to Bathurst end of October, so stay tuned for the updates. emoticon
