It's not possible to position 2 outlets side by side (i.e. quad outlet set-up like BMW X5) on the T31 due to no room on the right side where the recovery hook is.
I wasn't talking about having a quad system.
Just 2 pipes running along side each other coming out at the same place where the original is.
Still having twin pipes, but both on the same side of the Xy.

And where would you mount the muffler Tony?

Plenty of room in the glovebox...

I don't know, maybe a couple of doggys, that would give it a nice note.
Or even better still, a one in and two out muffler.

Nah mate, once you go under the exy you will find out that there isn't much room for the 2 pipes to come out from the muffler and sit perfectly under the bumper.
Just wait and see the final results, which I must say will NOT be a noisy exhaust system at all, as Lambros and I are simply against such doof doof systems.

Not much of a doof doof person myself but still would like a little note just so you know that something is lurking.

Re: Hi-Tech X-Trail Cat. Back System (T31 X-TRAIL)
Yep i agree and i out my 2c in that i dont want a loud exhaust as it would just annoy me.
Nice for it to have a little grumble but quiet is better especially when cruising on the highway!
Not long to go now

I couldn't agree more with you, Jalal. I think the only way is to have twin exhaust pipes
Looks are everything!!
Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean we you said quote:

"Now to the most important piece of information which just shocked me!!!
As we know, the T31 diesel (manual transmission) factory (flywheel) figures are as follows:
127KW @ 3,750RPM
360Nm @ 2,000RPM
The T31 Diesel X-Trail (at the wheels) figures are:
114.3KW @ 3,768RPM
329Nm @ 2,522RPM
This means that the T31 diesel drive-train is so efficient that there is almost no loss of power and torque as a result, which is awesome news indeed and I can only imagine what the cat. back system will produce when fitted to this T31
Could you (or anyone else) explain the difference in layman's terms?
