Currently wondering if a potential fight with Nissan warranty is worth the improvement from an exhaust mod ATM.

The cat. back system is NOT a warranty affecting modification. Many of us (T30 owners) have done it while under the Nissan warranty and Nissan were fine with that, we even had recalls carried-out with the cat. back system in place with no problems. Like every other modification on the car, Nissan would have to prove that changing one section of an exhaust pipe and getting rid of the monster factory muffler actually caused whatever they think it may have caused, which will mean....nothing emoticon

Re: Hi-Tech Cat. Back System (T31 Manual Diesel)

I have been running BP Ultimate since i got back to rAdelaide with the twins and i think the ECU must have just done a reset or some thing because as those poms would say - Kwor-Blimey.

The Acceleration is impressive and the low down torque (especially when overtaking in a higher gear or going up hills) is nothing short of amazing. Its not as scarey as a WRX but its definitely improved over the standard!

Im trying to find time to organise another dyno with both the twins and single now that ive been using the higher cetane fuel which wasnt available in Sydney.

Update.

All is running well. The system is still very quiet and im getting used to the extra torque.
I have driven in some deep mud and the extra guts were noticable. Towing a heavy trailer around has been easier too.
No problems with DPF or anything, which is reassuring, everything runs smoothly.

I have my 40,000km service coming up soon, lets see what the boys at Nissan think!

Good to hear that there are no problems as yet.
Get your wallet ready for the 40k, its a big one.
I saved over half by going to Ultra Tune.
