 emoticonHi Everyone,

Finally fitted a set of Iridium Plugs to my Exy, immediately noticed an increase in idlying speed, off to Cradle for the weekend and keen to see if they are as good as Jalal reckons. One question though, do I need to put grease or anti sieze on the thread when I fitted them, if so will take them out and do so.

Off bush again, emoticon David

re: grease...

IMO you should be fine, because of where the spark plug sits, its not really prone to much seizure compared to exhaust bolts or the like.

have fun!

Re: Spark Plugs Iridium LFR5AIX-11 1.1

in my expierence i use a tiny dot of anti seize on the thread (dont get ANY on the centre or ground electrodes), with it being an alloy head the thread is much softer than the spark plug, and in some instances with early pulsars, threads have been pull clean out of the head. personally i dont use grease i find it gets messy, bakes on and goes hard. but as cam said if you dont use anything it should be fine. just dont over tighten them

Re: Spark Plugs Iridium LFR5AIX-11 1.1

HI Folks,
A couple of weeks ago I went shopping for the iridium plugs. Supercheap wanted over $20 per plug, & $15 freight as they don't carry them in stock. I then tried Autobarn; $20 each (not in stock) but told me they came only in a pack of six & would only sell them to me as such.
So I went to ebay, & got a pack of four @ $66 inc $11 freight. I installed them before I left for the Blue Mtns on saturday. Can't say Ive really noticed any performance gain, could my ECU still be learning?

Hi Chris,

You should re-set the ECU after fitting these plugs.
