Real time engine stats on laptop - conzult Anyone looked into this at all? Ive been looking round the net and found several different methods of hooking up a laptop via the consult plug on the wiring loom in order to investigate computer fault codes and do other cool stuff. I havent found out if any of these have been tested on an x-trail or any QR motors at all but im working on it!
There is one called conZult designed for 300zx etc but they have a 4cyl version. Im still looking into it, if anyone knows anything please share, otherwise ill post my information here as I get it.

Not sure if OBD2 ans Consult2 are the same.

Re: Real time engine stats on laptop - conzult Might be worth mentioning that the workshop that diagnosed my crook crank-angle sensor a couple of months ago was using a "SnapOn" brand laptop computer! It wouldn't surprise me if it had capability to interrogate all different manufacturers ECU's.

Re: Real time engine stats on laptop - conzult There is quite a lot of hand held and laptop based diagnostic equipment available. Scanning and diagnosing faults is normally pretty easy provided the operating system is compliant with the ECU...the problem is still pumping info back into the ECU to change parametres.
As we all know
I will be happy with a piece of kit that can do the exy and triton, help me home service and monitor/ play with the engines... as well as get taken to work and used there on other vehicles as required...scanguage is being played with at the moment.Havent had much time but next week will be easier to really check it out
