Considering my driving conditions and the purpose of my exy, there is no way I would ever risk a hydrolock. On bitumen the placement of the CAI pod may be suitable, but no on dirt or gravel.

Yeah, looking into possibly getting this done - just trying to locate a reputable workshop.

Thanks guys for all the feedback and advise, but unlike the Hiclone, I still believe this mod has merit. May need a little more investigation through the 'other' forums.

Re: Throttle body spacer

Hey Brett, I think you should finish off your exhaust system upgrade first, having only half of the full potential is not like having the works. Once you've done this, am sure it'll be quite some time before you even think of looking for more HP elsewhere emoticon

This mod will be safe on and off road as well LOL

Re: Throttle body spacer

 Jalal,
I would LOVE to have the HiTech dual exhuast system sitting under my exy, but finances don't allow it. I guess I'll just sit back and wait until one comes onto the market, second hand...or possibly the wreckers. emoticon

If you have any contacts mate, I am willing to get a HiTech tattoo, cover my work cars in decals or even place their stickers all around the countryside...

I wasn't talking about the twins which you already have, but you have started a project and should "finish" it.

Next stop is extractors for you my friend emoticon

I don't think you'll find the type am talking about at the wreckers or second hand any time soon LOL

Jalal,

Is it the extractors or the high flow cat which has the most effect ?

BOTH Kev, as you know, you can't get one without getting the other.

Re: Throttle body spacer

Ok, after a sleepless night researching this further, it appears that there is a slight benefit with this mod when used in conjunction with a full header and exhaust upgrade.

Information appears to show that a 4-6mm port and polish of the throttle body will give marginal improvements for stock systems.

Now I've just got find out who does such a thing.

 The search continues...

Of course that depends on your location.

I'm having mine done in the near future through a mate of a mate for a carton, who is actually a mechanic from the local Nissan dealership....

I'll ask him the question when and if I end up getting it done.

I have a couple of favors to be asking him first, and I haven't met the guy yet. emoticon
