Brett, Whiteline does make a rear swaybar that fits the X-Trail ... I have one fitted.

Adam,
You wouldn't have a part number or price would you. Does it really make any difference and is it easy to fit. Thanks.

Sorry Brett, I don't have a part number or a specific price, mine was fitted as part of a bigger job - replaced all 4 shocks with adjustable Koni's and had the sway bar fitted. So I don't know how much the sway bar on it's own cost.

As for the difference, well the combination of the shocks and the sway bar have made a huge difference, it now handles like a sports sedan rather than a boat!! emoticon I am sure that the sway bar is responsible for most of the improvement.

Re: Suspension lowered

WhiteLine finally got back to me on a price:

 Rear swaybar: part number BNR32 (20mm) $235
 Front swaybar: part number BNF36 (27mm) $255

They are available from any AutoBarn/AutoOne or Repco stores.

Nice one! They are really easy to fit providing you can jack the whole rear off the ground, you need to take the weight off the sway bar. Then it is just a few bolts.

I would be cautious about fitting a front sway bar, this will make some very serious handling changes, not sure I would do this.

Re: Suspension lowered

Thanks Adam,
I think the Alutec strut bar that is already installed will handle the front nicely. But as with any lift, tighter control is needed, so the rear one may find it's way under the exee after I get the strut lift.

Re: Suspension lowered

And if you really want to do the job properly you should look at getting the shocks changed, apparently the factory ones are a POS.

I have the Koni adjustables on mine which means I can have them firm for road use and very easily soften them up for off-road.

Re: Suspension lowered

Sorry Dave, the topic appears to have gone in the other direction, raised - not lowered.

If only I had a few spare $$$,

WhiteLine rear swaybar
Superior Engineering 2" stut insert
Koni adjustable shocks
ARB progressive springs
Subaru extended cv boots
BFG mud terrains

The possibilities are endless, but it just shows the versatility of the x-trail and the great platform that Nissan has given us to create our own individual vehicle.

Re: Suspension lowered

This concern is for lowered or raised Exy's Is there a camber pin set for the Exy on the market (not a camber caster top strut mount kit like k-mac's) Ive had a quick look for specific kit for the Exy and there seems to be none but there must be a universal bolt kit to replace one of the bolt, would appreciate any help on the subject.
