T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist
Hi Guys,
I am thinking of lifting my T31 and was reading through the posts about the x-trails but couldn't find anything about lifting the the new T31.
As I am new to this I need some guidence on which and what is best for my blue baby.....
I'm thinking of lifting it about 1inch or more...... Is this enough?
I just want to get extra clearance while on the sand as it looks lower then usual when its stock.
I've got a blue T31 Ti and it looks lower then my mates T30 Ti.
Any advise guys??

That's because nobody has lifted the T31 as yet
I don't think there are any T31 specific lift kits on the market as yet, as it is still pretty new. In addition to that the suspension and springs are completely different between the T30 and T31, so none of the existing kits would fit.

I think it's just the visual perception, as the T31 is indeed higher than the T30 and has more ground clearance.

Re: Lifting my T31
Give King springs or pedders a call, they have lifted springs for the T30 so i would imagine they will be doing them for the T31.

Re: Lifting my T31
I wonder if the spacer kit from Superior Engineering would fit?
You might like to find out more specific details about the differences between the T30 and T31 before you start ringing around, because chances are they're likely to say "yes", not realising you're referring to the newest X-Trail, then quizzing you on the differences, or even asking you to come into their workshops to check it out (probably not a bad idea). They should be able to tell (without pulling anything apart) the differences between the two.

Re: Lifting my T31
That is why I said that none of the existing kits would fit the T31, as the suspension is completely different.
Your best bet is to volunteer to have them use your exy to develop a kit for it and that way you can score the very first lift kit for the T31 at a special price, but that also means that there could be teething problems which you gonna have to account for until they fully test it.
If you'd rather play it safe, wait a bit until they manufacture it. Demand for the T31 lift kit would currently be pretty low to encourage them to start the development process, so it will take a while.

Re: Lifting my T31
If you're willing to spend the money then check out air suspension kits. There are a few now that do airbags on struts so that would suit T30 front and rear, T31 front and at the rear you could just have bags to replace springs.

Re: Lifting my T31
A company called Boss Air does a T30 kit for $2900 incl gst complete but they just make the kit. They do have contacts for installation. Their website is here
