It doesn't actually, it still sits lower to the front.

Same too with mine, Tony. And I went with Kings.

After Landcruiser Park, I think I will increase the front springs height soon, as the front kept bottoming out in the deeper ruts.

And then you try harder at Cruiser, and still need more height emoticon How do Hilux Hill, lower test track & Telecom hill look nowadays? emoticon

Having said that, I went for a play today on some behind dune tracks - rocky, holes, some hard sand, narrow trees and was quite impressed by the rampover, approach and departure angles as standard.

Still hate how the DSC interferes with actually getting up loose sections (esp in 2WD) and kills the party due to wheel spin before I spit it, turn it off and do a handbrake start to regain forward momentum.

My measurements are also within a couple of millimeters, but the Xy still looks like its dipping at the front.

No Kev. The bull bar only weighs in at 32kgs. With the Kings suspension kit, the rear springs are actually taller than those of the front. Ideal for towing a heavy camper trailer around Australia, just not ideal for driving through deeply rutted tracks.

But in saying that, I'd still like to increase the front end clearance so I can revisit Bribie Island and perhaps tackle Moreton Island, in the near future.

I too am looking at the possibility of adding some fabricated 10 or 15mm strut spacers to the front suspension.
It looks like it will only need some longer HT bolts and the spacer itself.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

Hi all,

I am a new X-trail owner, 2009 white ST manual.

I am thinking about upgrading my springs to improve ground clearance and have been doing some reading through the related forums.

I called Pedders at Blacktown (Sydney, NSW) today and they told me the following:

"I wouldn't recommend lifting the new T31 x-trail, as soon as the x-trail is lifted it causes vibration problems when in a specific gear (he seemed to think it was 2nd gear) which causes wear and tear. All the T31 x-trails we have lifted have experienced the same problems, Nissan are also aware of the problem but don't currently have a solution"

Unfortunately I'm not very mechanically minded so I wasn't sure what questions to ask.

Has anybody experienced this problem or does anybody have any information about this problem?

Cheers,
Daniel

Daniel
I have the Pedders lift and drive a manual and have not experienced any kind of rattle or vibration in any gear.
I have had the lift in a few months now.
Have a talk to the guys at Penrith and seee what they have to say.
Tony
