Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

Thanks Tony.

I called Pedders in Penrith and they didn't seem to be aware of any such problem so I have booked it in for this Saturday, can't wait!!

Do you feel the Pedders lift has helped with your off-road performance?

Thanks again,
Daniel

I went for Pedders too and the off road side is tops and the lift has gotten me over a few more things as well.

We are now going back over a few past tracks that we thought we could not do and are having a ball!

Regards Scot

For sure Daniel.
It bottoms out far far less than standard and gives you a much firmer drive.
Its money well spent.
They gave me a free wheel alignment after 2 months after the fitting, you should ask if they will give you the same.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

i too have noticed that the rear of mine feels like it sits lower than the front in standard (it has never towed),

my first question is how much was the Pedders lift kit?

my other question is to do with Shockers - earlier a few people have mentioned that the Standard shockers are fine, but what are the options for upgrading? i would like to take our Xie on some trips over the next few years (sorta outback), so was thinking of upgrading shockers.

Cheers,
Smac

Smac
Coils from Pedders will cost you a tad under $700. If you want shocks with that, add another $1000 to the total.
Its the coils that would make the car sag not the shocks.
Coils take the load while shocks make the ride smoother and firmer.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

yeah i was more interested in getting better quality Shockers for long distance touring when going over rough roads.

the springs for extra height.

What are some good brand shockers like Tough Dog, Old Man Emu or TJM that would fit?

All the ones you mentioned are brand specific, Pedders have comparible products.
The rear shocks are an 'eye to eye' end which are readily available from all of the above.
The front being a McPherson strut are a little more harder to get in those brands that will suit the Xy.
