Re: T31 Suspension Lift
I looked for air bag suspension form my T30 no luck though - the shocks are inside the coils
Air bagman in Brisbane has the 2008 X-trail listed in their application list for Coil Rite CR5070 for $395
These are for load assist and would be great for camper towing

Re: T31 Suspension Lift
Hi 75bnm,
On the first page of this thread I posted a link to airbag suspension for the T30.

Airbag suspensions
All you need to do now is find a local suplier/fitter.
Read the second paragraph in "Stand-Alone Air Suspensions" next to the cut-away airbag pic.
They replace the springs with donut airbags in a system like the T30.
I assume you are in Brisbane ?
I know of a Brookvale place here in Sydney that will do the donut bags over the struts but could find out the manufacturer and part number for you if interested to find an installer/supplier up there.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift
T30 Guys,
Please discuss the T30 suspension modifications in the existing thread HERE.
If the company in question is doing kits for both models (T30 and T31) have the link and information posted in both threads.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift
I've been looking myself and noticed that King spring (no plug intended just info) now have listed new springs for the T31. I've inquired and this was the reply email
quote: We have King Springs Part No's KDFR-94HD (front) & KDRR-95 (rear) to raise your vehicle approximately 30-35mm from factory std height.
These springs are designed with an increase in spring rate of approximately 25%.
RRP is $ 190.00 + GST per pair front
RRP is $ 190.00 + GST per pair rear.
Still I would prefer 50mm and I'll try and find out if it's possible to put a spring spacer in the rear along with the new springs and a spacer in the front similar to the T30. I'll try superior in QLD.

I might give Kings a buzz and see if they can recommend some matching shocks I need more ground clearance and nobody that i know of has put together a lift kit for the T31. I think Snake Racing makes spacers too.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift
Replacing the springs giving 40mm lift in our T30 was the best mod and made a big difference for both on the beach and bush driving.
If I had my time over I would also do shocks as well to provide greater wheel travel as they top out quickly. If the t31 clearance is anything like the t30 it will help.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift
Has anyone contacted Superior Engineering who do the strut spacers for the T30 to see if they can do something the same for the T31 ?

Re: T31 Suspension Lift
Kenny,
It's for a T30 xtrail, as they don't have a T31 in Taiwan. The photos show a T30 exy (Taiwan built)
