Re: Warranty Repairs
Had 70000 service done the other week ($135.00 supplied own oil) and put in a couple of warranty claims. First one the headlights which had gone yellowish and faded a little.
A little hard to tell by the pics.
SUCCESS!! Headlights arrived yesterday and will be fitted on Monday.
And the second one was the black painted area on the outside of the doors surrounding the windows which had starts to wear through.
REJECTED!! Their excuse for this is the polish I use. If this is the case why hasn’t the polish worn through the white of my car! I have used this polish on my old charcoal magna and have never had a problem with the paint wearing through. I will be investigating this one more.

Re: Warranty Repairs
Hi Rob,
Both issues are quite common on the T30 xtrail, especially the top section of the headlight going yellow with age when exposed to the sun for an extended period of time. I'm actually glad you got that fixed under warranty cause I see so many xtrails with the top section yellow. The pillars fading however is noticeable on all xtrails, except the black one, as on the black T30 xtrail, Nissan decided to have these pillars colour-coded to match the car, so it doesn't suffer from fade effects like other colour xtrails. The paint used on these pillars in your case is not that durable and doesn't like to be polished either. The only suggestion I can give you is to have them painted in black.

Re: Warranty Repairs
Our First Warranty Repair
Nissan Dealer on the Gold Coast is replacing the rod & plastic cover for the rear left seat release (the pull up rod that releases the back seat to fold flat). We didn't discover it was slightly damaged (cracked plastic cover and rod is slightly bent) till after the purchase (We didn't buy it from a nissan dealer).
This is my first car that still has new car warranty (untill 02/2011).

Re: Warranty Repairs
I've had 2 warranty repairs done and both in the last 4 weeks.
First one was a split hose on the turbo intake and the second was a cracking fog light.
Fairly easy replacement on both as they had the parts in town at the warehouse.
