I'm running Vista and don't have any issues but I have the files stored on my hard drive rather than burning a CD - perhaps I should write a guide on how to do it

Alan is talking CD and Stephen is saying DVD.
I looked at the file and it was too large for a CD.
Stephen, are you sure you burnt it onto a DVD and are you puting it into a DVD campatible drive ?

This ESM can only be copied to a DVD disc due to its size.

try burning it onto a DVD+R.
Maybe the desktop drive does not like -R disks

Might just be me but I find navigating around and finding things in this service manual a lot harder than in the T30 service manual.
And I cannot find an expanded alphabetical index for more detailed reference either.

Yeah, same here Kev, I like to use the alphabetical reference on the T30 ESM and it makes finding things in the T31 ESM much harder without it.

What i did is rename all the individual folders.
say for the fl folder, I simply renamed it fuel.
This way I can go directly to what reference I am looking for easily without clicking on every folder to find it.
