Looked like a nice trip guys. Well done Mat.

A little tricky wasn't it Alex in 2WD? I think once engaged properly you made the climb look easy.

I seem to remember Alex doing something like this before on the Wombeyan Caves to Jenolan Caves trip, but it was a handbrake that time. emoticon

Excellent trip report and photos, guys! Some of those splashes look like they would've gone over the bonnet quite considerably! I would've had to dismantle my low air intake if I came along (but probably would've forgotten about it with all the excitement, and suffered the consequences afterwards!)

Alex always likes to make any challenge just that little bit more exciting emoticon

I feel sorry for the poor bloke in the Landy! Maybe he forgot to lock his hubs or something?

Hey Rich,
there was actually a bridge that crossed the creek, but where's the fun in that? emoticon

That pic of Wayne, (pic No.7) really gives you an indication of how steep that climb was.

Looks like it was a great day out. I'd love to have joined the trip but I'm overseas this week. I'm very jealous as this is a fantastic area. Looking forward to seeing more photos.

Just added some of my pics to the first post on this thread.

I added two pictures of the bogged vehicle. One from each side of the vehicle so you can see where the wheels were sitting.

Graet pics Mat.
I didn't think anybody got any photos of me going up that first hill.
Comes with going first I suppose. Would have nbeen good to see pics of my excessive wheelspin the first time I tried it, that and all the tyre smoke too.

Also those pics of the Landy prove that he was in 4wd as you can see the front L/H guard all wet from wheelspin. Shows the angle the front diff is on that the R/H wheel is high up in the guard and hence not turning from where we were standing.

Chris, your a "LEDGEND".

Thanks for bringing that up, Kev emoticon

You are right Rich, but unfortunately sometimes my creating a bigger challenge is unintentional (such as this time and the time Kev kindly reminded us all of). Its more a function of old age, I guess. emoticon
