Re: Baal Bone Gap/Blackfellows/Turon - Blue Mountains
Hey Tony,
if you go to trip report 'Dingomose Blue Mtns June 09', the 2nd picture is of the same puddle, it was wider & probably deeper too. Good job I didn't attempt it that day.

Chris
Just had a look and as you say, that is was worse back in June.
Not even worth considering going through it.
Wayne
Have you flicked through all that video you took on the saturday.
Any good stuff in there.
Just for all those who didn't attend, Wayne had his video camera set up on a tripod in the Xy filming as he drove.
Exy cam.

Nah Rich
Pure articulation.
It doesn't look it but there were holes on that section you could fit an esky into.

Re: Baal Bone Gap/Blackfellows/Turon - Blue Mountains
I remember jacking up the car to have a look at my rims when i bought them. It seemed the further i lifted the wheel the camber changed angle. It looks like Alex's wheel was at full travel and the camber might appear different because of this?
I plan on posting a few videos tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Baal Bone Gap/Blackfellows/Turon - Blue Mountains
Nice Mat
I am surprised how fast some of you guys took the river. I would have thought that if it is going over your bonnet you would have to be concerned about it going in the air intake.
I am not very good with video stuff, mat. Is there a way I can download that one of me? I had a look in the photobucket link but could not see anything to let me save it to my hard drive.

Re: Baal Bone Gap/Blackfellows/Turon - Blue Mountains
I was concerned about the water and the air intake too. I noticed that the entry speed made quite a difference to the amount of water splashed up. I chose to go in slow to avoid the unnecessary risk or water in the intake.
I am not sure if there is any way to download the video from photobucket?
If you send me a pm your email address i will send them to you.
If anyone else wants their video send me a pm.

Re: Baal Bone Gap/Blackfellows/Turon - Blue Mountains
Wayne must have lost his No. plate before he got out of the water and then I think it washed up on the bank from the wash.
Nice videos Mat.
