Re: blower fan

It will not fit my fan at all,so i just looked and when i seen the plug i knew it was wrong, and just put it back in the packet.I even said to this part fellow i will be buying a new vechicle in the next six months and the last one came from here,so i will look else where .He tried to explain that all dealers are seperate blah, blah. He gave me the wrong number and i asked for the right model. When he knew he had made a **** up he asked fore the vin number which he should have done in the first place.Welcome to country victoria,if they will not refund it i will have to suffer it but i will be ringing up nissan australia and having a whinge.See how we go mate. The part persons card with the quote is in the packet i sent you with the wrong number and the new number,so should be proof i received the wrong number.cheers

Re: blower fan

No problems Ray.

To save time and also to benefit other members of the forum with this information, can you please post the part number for the ST blower fan control resister here in this thread?

Re: blower fan

Mate,

Nobody is accusing you of anything here, don't misinterpret what I have said and take it the wrong way, mistakes do happen and this one wasn't even your own mistake. I am only asking for the correct part number to go a head and order it for you while the other one (the wrong one) finds its way back through Australia Post, this way and by the time the wrong one arrives, the replacement and correct part would already be here in Sydney, as they do need to order it from Melbourne.

The other thing you need to be aware of is that this part was a "special order" meaning that it is not a stocked item and they order it from the Melbourne central Nissan warehouse, that is why there is a condition about not being able to return a wrong part, in addition to it being an electrical part which can be plugged in and damaged, yet the external and physical shape of it would not show anything, AGAIN, I am not saying you damaged this part, but these are the things I could be faced with when I try to swap it, so you need to be prepared for the worst case scenario that it will not be swapped.

I'll be more than happy to send you the Nissan invoice for it, so you can contact them directly and sort all this out should they refuse to swap it for me.

Let's take this off this thread and it is an issue that concerns your particular situation rather than information which needs to be displayed on a public forum. You got my email address, shoot me an email with the correct part number.

My request to have the correct part number posted in this thread is to prevent other members falling into the same mistake and ordering the wrong one (depending on their model)

Re: blower fan

Hi Guys,

Ray's problem has been fixed and the resister will be replaced by Nissan.

For the benefit of other members and to avoid the same mistake happening again, here is the information you need to know:

Ti Blower Fan Resister part number: 27761-2Y000
ST Blower Fan Resister part number: 27150-8H300

The price difference between the Ti and ST resisters is $100.00 (cheaper for the ST)

Re: blower fan

I assume the price difference between the Ti version and the ST version would be because the Ti switch integrates with the Climate Control (instead of just a standard switch for the ST's basic A/C fan)?
