Re: OBDII connector
The OBD2 connector (for Series 1 and Series 2) is a white connector near the fuse block located on the driver's side of the passenger compartment.
I assume it should be the same in a Series 3 if that is what your 2007 model is.

Re: OBDII connector
Looks like a very handy gadget to have. I'd be interested to know if it'll work with our ECU on the xtrail, so please let us know the results when you plug it in.

Re: OBDII connector
Hi Pablo,
I have enquired about the scangauge 2 here in Australia and the company is not sure if it will work on the X-trail but is confident that it will work on the Sentra QR25 in the US. This tells me that it should work on the X-trail trail. The best way to test is just plug it in and let us know. We can never have to many gadgets

Re: OBDII connector
I also wonder if they'd have it showing Litres and Kms/hour instead of MPG and Miles/hour, as their website doesn't seem to suggest that.

Re: OBDII connector
Hi anyone...What does OBD II stand for??
(On Board Diagnostics!!)
Also I notice that our friend who has installed one of these units is from Argentina, would his vehicle be of a US specification and therefore this little unit may not work on an Australian spec. Vehicle!!

Re: OBDII connector
Hi Paul,
This has been covered in HERE
Basically, the OBDII (On-board diagnostics) is a complex computer package installed on 1996 and newer cars and light trucks, and 1997 and newer diesel vehicles. This sophisticated system serves as an advanced warning to alert vehicle owners and auto technicians of potentially high emissions.
OBD II is now being used by auto emissions testing facilities.
It will be the same for an xtrail from Argentina or ours here in Australia, the difference might be in the program/software used in the ECUs between the two cars, as some countries push out different settings relating to emission controls that are different from other countries, but the function of the ECU reader would work on both cars.

Re: OBDII connector
Nice!
Looks like there is a supplier in Australia too:
http://www.scangauge.com/buy/retail.shtml
Anyone want to get a price from them? (I am out the country for a few weeks)
