Re: OBDII connector

Possibly, but it's missing the ISO14230-4 (KWP2000) compliance, so it may not work.

Check THIS one out.

Re: OBDII connector

Hi all,
This question may have been answered but here I go anyway. Does anyone know why the 2004 x-trail does not work with the scangauge and the 2003 and 2005 do this is similar to pulsars as the 2005 pulsar doesn’t but the 2004 does weird. Any information or explanation on why would be appreciate
Cheers

Re: OBDII connector

I just ordered one of these

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16921

Its a bluetooth OBD/OBDII thingy, with CAN support.

Reading thru the forum seems hit and miss, but ill give it a go and report how (or if) it works with my T31 Diesel.

Re: OBDII connector

I received the bluetooth OBDII adapter and paired it to my laptop. The software that comes with it gives you all kinds of realtime information about the car - its pretty cool.
It also gives you the option to install it to windows / Palm / pocket PC etc.

My laptop ran out of battery while i was driving around so ill grab some screen captures when it charges back up.

Re: OBDII connector

Different ECU software Dave, actually it is so different that even on say a 2004 T30 model you would have 4 different ECU software between manual, auto, ST and Ti.

Re: OBDII connector

Purchased a Scanguage 2 and can report that it works on a 02 T30 Auto (doesnt work on my bloody Triton thoughemoticon ).
The MAP guage function doesnt work, however I am playing around with it at the moment to see if I can get some of the Xguage functions to work as well.
Gives some interesting readings, especially the intake air temp variations at different speeds.
Not a bad piece of kit.....cant really comment on its ability to diagnose faults and reset the ECU. I am going to initiate some ECU faults next week and see if it works as advertised.

Something else to play with on the dash...can be a bit distracting. Easy to install and use on other vehicles as required
